Baked Cream Corn

Every day and holiday style corn dish both kids and adults love. The cream corn, eggs and milk set up like a custard. Seasoned and baked till golden brown.
Ingredients -
2 Eggs
2 tablespoons Milk
2 (14.75 ounces) cans Creamed Corn
2 tablespoons Butter, diced
1 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
1 tablespoon White Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon Celery Salt
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
1/4 teaspoon Garlic Powder
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Beat eggs with milk in large bowl. Blend in creamed corn and butter.

3. Stir in all-purpose flour, white sugar, pepper, celery salt, and onion and garlic powders.

4. Transfer creamed corn mixture to glass pie plate.

5. Bake 45-55 minutes, or until top is golden and bubbly.

6. Cool 10 minutes before serving.

Substitute corn starch for flour and the cream corn will set up a bit stiffer.

In order for the custard like corn dish to properly set after cooking, allow cooling. The top should be golden brown when removed from the oven.
